Production versions are anticipated to ship by the end of November 2026 and will be suitable for use outdoors.
It is our hope that this tool will primarily be employed by responsible dog owners who want to ensure their animals are not creating a nuisance for others. Realtors, property managers, homeowners associations, and animal control officers will also find Bark Witness™ to be an objective documentation tool for enforcing noise ordinances against irresponsible dog owners.
Audio clips are only recorded while a dog is barking. These are typically short files of up to a few seconds in length. Incidental human speech may be captured, so use only in accordance with applicable recording and privacy laws. Also, as a standalone portable device, Bark Witness™ audio files and reports cannot be accessed over the Internet; they are only accessed via a secure WiFi link directly to your nearby web browser.
Bark Witness™ is powered by a USB-C connection via a wall adapter, portable battery brick, etc. (not included). Future production units will be weather-resistant but the current beta units are not.
